Arts in Transit, Inc., (AIT) works to create a sense of appreciation and connection to art within the communities served by Metro Transit. Both public and private support helps to sustain AIT’s quality of work and regularity of projects.
Major funding for AIT has been provided by the Gateway Foundation, PNC Bank, Regional Arts Commission, Missouri Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Federal Transit Administration, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Metro St. Louis and individuals in the St. Louis region.

ArtBus Painting
Corporations, businesses, co-workers, community groups or friends and family can assist artists in creating a masterpiece on wheels. Painting a Metro Transit/AIT ArtBus is the perfect way to show your community support and exercise your artistic skills.

Interning
Are you passionate about public art, placemaking and working with community groups? Want to learn how to develop, organize and execute programs and installations?
As an AIT intern, you will assist Arts in Transit staff in working with artists and community groups, coordinating events, and aid in research to maintain the AIT collection.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Working toward a fine art, art history, applied art or graphic design degree at a four-year university.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with WordPress is appreciated.
Flexible hours within a traditional business work week; some occasional evening and weekend hours.
